Traditionally innovative since more than 60 years

When Paul Urben and Max Kyburz founded their two-man company in 1958, they lay the groundwork for an enterprise, which evolved from a manufacturer of optical lenses and mechanical components to a highly specialised manufacturer of high precision metal parts in recent years.

Since the early passing in 1986 of the company founder, Paul Urben, his sons, Rolf and Bruno Urben, have continued to lead the company in its second generation as Managing Director and Production Manager, respectively. Since that time, the company’s workforce grew from 40 to 150 employees.

Simultaneously, the production capacity also grew continually. Important milestones were reached with business certifications, which we regard as testimony of our exceptional quality awareness.

Today, URBEN + KYBURZ AG present as a reliable partner for manufacturers of hydraulic pumps, earth moving equipment and power tools. We have also won the confidence and patronage of various partners from the medical technology sector and from the component supply chains of the manufacturing, furniture and automotive industries.
